Mary Neumaier, RD

Crop Mary NeuI am a registered dietitian with a private practice in Northville, Michigan.  I counsel clients on a variety of topics including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, sports nutrition, thyroid disorders, pregnancy, lactation, diabetes, weight management and general healthy eating.

As a registered dietitian, my mission is to provide clients with nutrition education that will enable them to adopt and promote a healthy lifestyle.  Every clients needs are different and I take great pride in getting to know you and providing you with the education and information that is right for you.  Adopting a healthy lifestyle is not easy, for many people it takes guidance from a professional.  You will need information about healthy foods as well as guidance to analyze and change your behaviors.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University.  I am a registered dietitian in the state of Michigan and have just renewed my registration until the year 2014.  I started my career as a dietitian at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital as a Clinical Dietitian where I worked for three years.  I then took some time off to stay home with my three children.  I entered back into the work force as a dietitian with Lifetime Fitness.  Both places gave me extensive experience with both the clinical aspect of nutrition as well as the outpatient aspect.  I love to work with people who are really interested in making a change in their lives as well as a change in their family’s lives.  I routinely speak at schools to educate both elementary and middle school children as well as the teaching staff.

My passion is nutrition.  No I am not perfect. I feel that learning and practicing healthy eating habits help keep you and your family healthy.  I also know that you need to live life and enjoy food and too often people form a negative relationship with food.  My focus to help people change how they view food and make it a positive aspect of their lives.
